The Good News
Have you ever heard about the good news? It started when a man named Jesus, the king of the Jews was
crucified. Many people watched Jesus suffer so many things. Mary, the mother of James and Mary Magdalene were weeping for their teacher.
Early the next day, Mary and Mary Magdalene decided to go to the tomb of Jesus to put spices on Jesus' body. When they arrived, they saw the huge rock that covered the entrance had been rolled aside. They also saw an angel dressed in glistening clothes. Both ladies were frightened. The angel said to them "Don't be afraid! You are looking for Jesus the Nazarene. He has risen! Go now! Tell his disciples!" Mary and Mary Magdalene ran off and told Jesus' disciples the good news. Peter and John ran to the tomb when they heard about Jesus' resurrection. When they reached the tomb, Peter went inside the tomb and found the linen cloth that was wrapped around Jesus' body. Mary Magdalene fell on her knees and wept, thinking that someone had stolen Jesus' body. Nearby she saw a man. Thinking he was a gardener she asked him if he had taken Jesus' body. The man came closer and said "Mary". Mary Magdalene recognized his voice and replied "Master!" Joy took over her sadness and she ran and tole all the disciples what she heard and saw. Everyone rejoiced and was very glad.
